In this chapter of my #WorkExperience, I tell you about my job position at Storia from 2017 to 2018.
DIGITAL DIRECTOR USA
Storia is an international social multimedia publishing platform that empowers members of its community to share thought-provoking content.
Its goal is to entertain, inform and challenge.
The main feature of Storia is represented by the possibility to download and subscribe to its mobile app and write captivating and compelling articles directly from a cell phone.
Storia is headquartered in San Francisco (CA, USA), but it has offices all over the world: New York City (NY, USA), Brazil, Turkey and Russia.
January 2017 to January 2018. Employment type: contract.
✔ Managed about $1M budget;
✔ Increased traffic to about 100,000 monthly visits in 8 months.
Main activities performed
Managed social media communities, coordinated with Storia’s global marketing, PR and communications teams to ensure brand consistency;
Worked with a variety of editors, partners, bloggers, influencers and customers to create amazing content published every hour all over Storia’s communication channels;
Managed social ads, Google Ads and on-/off-page SEO activities.
My main objectives were to launch the business unit in the US, increase the traffic to our platforms and monetize it.
We had to compete with strong competitors already established in the market like BuzzFeed and Mashable.
We had to publish and sponsor content around the clock, one about every hour. For this reason, I coordinated about 40 editors located in India to create compelling blog posts, news and stories.
When I went back to Italy, in September 2017, I worked with the global PR and marketing executives located in four countries. In other words, I worked with four different time zones simultaneously.
I had the opportunity of building relationships with many providers, influencers and celebrities like Rachel Grant, "bond girl" (actress in James Bond 007) and content producer.

Admin: G Suite;
Advertising: Google Ads, Facebook Ads, native and programmatic ads;
Graphic design: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro X;
Reporting: Google Data Studio;
Team management: Slack.
